Read Exmormon by CL Hanson

I would tell anyone who hasn't read this novel - do not try reading it over a weekend when one (or many) of your family members are sick. Or if you have work/painting/blogging to do. I was hooked and had to be pulled away from my pc by crying children. The characters are interesting and the action is fast paced.

It is a must read for anyone who grew up mormon!

So much of the novel rang true for my own experience growing up mormon. Scrambling to get ready for church in the morning. I remember only too well the awkward dances at youth conference. I recall without fondness the pressure on women to conform, to bake cookies and sew.

I highly recommend her work and look forward to reading more! Now that it's online (with illustrations) it can be easily accessed.
